Our Story

Braxton Simpson founded Underground Apparel in April of 2017 after witnessing the impact of racial injustice and systemic oppression on Black people living in America. 

After spending several months protesting the racial inequities of her school community, she decided to make an impact by launching Underground Apparel & starting her Instagram Live Series--WOKE WEDNESDAY! 

Now 3 Years Later, as we mourn the loss of individuals like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery---Undergound Apparel & Woke Wednesday continue to serve as a voice to the injustices of those living within black bodies every single day. 

For more than 400 years we have witnessed, firsthand, the plight of Black people living in America, and we will continue to do our part in progressing the movement forward.
